GOND PAINTING

Image
PAINTING DONE BY ME.... My personal favorite.... Gond painting is the traditional form of art. This form of art was firstly introduced in the states of Madhya Pradesh, eastern Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, northern Andhra Pradesh and Western Odisha. Gond paintings materialize like a collage of dashes and dots. The collage combines into bright images of animals and plants, articulating folklores. The art is in black and white as well as colored variety. These pieces of creativity are affluent in color, humor, detail and mystery.   Gond art resonates with a culturally distinctive ethos and draws inspiration from myths and legends to images of daily life, as well as emotions, dreams.

COUCHING EMBROIDERY

Image
EMBROIDERY DONE BY ME... Couching, or the couch stitch, requires two threads: One remains completely on the surface, while the other loops through the fabric and over the thread to hold it in the form of the design.   Couching can seem sort of tricky at first, because you have to hold one thread down while you work the second thread around it, but it really is a beautiful stitch .

SKETCH-With True Lines

Image
Sketch made by me..... The girl in the sketch looks so innocent. No matter what situation, whenever she is in trouble or whenever people hate her or torture her and whatever restrictions she has in life, she never expresses her feelings or what she wants, but always keeps on smiling and looking beautiful as always. AURA FASHION SHOW 2017

Image
I am a Fashion Designing student and like every year, this year as well my institute (INFID, Nashik) organised a fashion show called AURA and like every other student I got a chance of participating in it this year. The fashion show was comprised of themes and my theme was #plumage_of_paradise inspired from the Great Bird of Paradise. Being a promotional garment, my design was basically inspired by the Great Bird’s tail which also looked somewhat similar to the Chinese hand fan. Being a part of such an amazing show was a great experience which I will treasure .
